What an amazing night at the NABBA Wales contest. On Saturday 14th may, One to One gym member Nathaniel Rose, of Glyntaff, was named Mr Wales 2011 in the annual National Amateur Bodybuilders’ Association (NABBA) contest .

Nathaniel will now go on to compete in the NABBA Britain Finals 2011 at Southport Theatre and Convention Centre on May 28. We wish you all the best Nathaniel.

As well as this amazing success, Staff member Rhian Adams-Jones also won the Miss Wales title on her first attempt!

Gym member Jonnie Reid got 2nd in his class, Dai Fitzpatrick 3rd – AWESOME RESULTS!!!

Fusion MMA at One to One gym already boasts a line up of some of the finest up and coming talent in the worlds of MMA and Competative Sport to name but a few, and are delighted to announce that one of Wales’ best young MMA fighters, Lewis Long, is now a Fusion/One to One Gym member.

With yet another professional fighter joining our ranks this simply reinforces our place as one of the finest MMA school in Wales.

Dan Otley, already a success story for our Fusion Combat School, progressed from a complete beginner in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) to becoming a Pro Fighter and one of UK’s hottest prospects. He will now be joined by Lewis, and will undergo the most grueling strength training and diet and nutrition regime ever to come to this part of the world, devised by The well Respected and Nutritional GURU David Antony Thomas; not to mention being tested to their limited by UK’s leading conditioning coach/trainer Andy O’Brien.

Lewis, who recently won his fight at the Valley of Kings tournament held in Cardiff on the 7th May, has already carved his place amongst the top young fighters in Wales with a Pro MMA record of 4-1-0.

Very exciting changes happening at One to One Gym this week. Our One Cafe is now open and will be marked with an official opening some time in the very near future so keep eyes and ears open as there will be some fabulous taster sessions involved, a chance for you to tuck-in to some of the amazingly delicious food we have to offer.

Hi everyone, Andy O’Brien here, the Head Instructor of Fusion Combat School at One to One Gym. Fusion offer a range of fitness and martial arts classes to suit every age and ability. Our classes include:

Applied Karate: A kata based art practicing the forms learned for reality based scenarios. This class is perfect for those who want to start a martial art gently. We also hold Junior classes 4 days a week.

MMA: Our Mixed Martial Arts classes are structured for Beginners, Intermediate & Advanced members so that you are never out of your depth. The classes cover all aspects of MMA for stand up and groundwork using techniques from Karate, Boxing, Muay Thai, Judo and Brazilian Ju Jitsu.

maxFit: Stands for Martial Arts Extreme Fitness! Our maXfit classes are circuit based classes with a martial arts spin and are tough. “Train at your own pace but always to your limit” is our maXfit motto.

Also at Fusion Combat: Kickboxing with Owen Williams on Wednesday and Sunday 5 til 7pm. The first hour is for Owen’s juniors and the 2nd for seniors. Join Wales’ best Kickboxing club at One to One gym.
